Two things you absolutely do not want getting into your chimney: water and animals. Both can cause damage, both can cause unwanted smells — and both can get into your flue if you don't have a chimney cap. Adding or replacing a chimney cap with one that's properly sized for your flue and properly installed gives your chimney another very valuable layer of protection.

Chase Tops
Your crown, splay or wash protects the top of your masonry chimney against water intrusion. A prefabricated or factory-built chimney needs protection, too, and the chase top provides that. A chase top that's rusting or corroding isn't providing that necessary protection. We can replace it with a new chase top that's as functional as it is beautiful.

Damaged flue liners make chimneys far less efficient and far more dangerous than they should be. We use HeatShield® products to repair joint damage or systemic damage in clay tile flue liners, or to resurface more significantly damaged liners. How Do I Know My Chimney Or Fireplace Needs A Part Replaced?
The best way to keep current on the state of your entire chimney system is to keep up with your regular maintenance. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
and the The Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA)
— along with various other industry and safety groups — recommend an annual chimney inspection. During your inspection, we'll check the entire system, top to bottom, to make sure every part is operating, functioning and/or protecting properly. If we find an issue, we'll talk with you about our findings and recommend the best steps to improve and repair your system.
In between inspections, if you notice a problem — if your damper gets stuck open or closed, your chimney cap or parts of your flashing fly off in a storm, etc. — call us. We want to help you keep your chimney system at the proper level of safety and efficiency.
